Photography is all about light, hence the Greek root word Phos meaning light. I will show you how to capture light the way you want to, and what tools and tricks work for different scenarios.
Unfortunately dramatic lighting when nature subjects look their best is not of an average quality and when people try to make images , they don’t photograph at the right time of day for their subject or their images don’t look like what they saw and they don’t understand what they need to do differently. I will show you how to modify the light and properly expose for the scene in front of you.

Overview of Photography Lesson Topics:

#1. Before the shot - Recognize Light and its types, quality, color, intensity and direction, The “W” Questions, and Pre-visualization (The Three P’s (Posture, Placement, and the Press)

#2. Manual, Manual, and Manual and why it is so important, Metering logic and exposure logic, Color Balance and how to control the “feel or look” through the color of your images.

#3. Modifying the light and setup of the shot. Working with good exposure technique from what we just learned and light modifiers to get the best images.

#4 Applying what we learned with a hands on wrap-up with a “subject in the field”
