Your senses are buzzing with anticipation for the smallest sound , or the slightest change of shape. This lets you know you are not alone. You've been standing in one spot for well over a minute , taking in the cascade of information around you. There is a constant study of your surroundings, and when the time is right you begin to move your right leg with a deep bending of the knee. Your weight tranfsers to your right foot slowly, the whole process is enveloping. You touch down and could not hear it. You again begin to scan for any changes. This process repeats itself over and over, until you spot something. You are motionless hopefully blending in completely, but you are a stranger in someone else's home. The red squirrel's treasoness chatter alerts your presence. Eventually you continue on, disheartened your position was revealed, and sure enough you catch the all too familiar flash of white bounding away across the ridgetop.

    This is the thrill of Wildlife Photography. The odds of nature always make it a challenge, the experience is sometimes valued as much or sometimes more than the results for the day. You sharpen your skills and learn each time you lose sight of the world of man. The camera is simply the tool to communicate your vision of the constant art that is Gods creation with all its intrinsic detail.
No two days afield will ever be the same, and I never can expect what I will find.
